📌 1. Security Deposit under Section 4(2A)

The security deposit amount depends on the maximum amount lent (or loans outstanding) in a year:

• Less than ₹1 lakh → ₹5,000

• ₹1 lakh to less than ₹5 lakh → ₹10,000

• ₹5 lakh to less than ₹10 lakh → ₹50,000

• ₹10 lakh to less than ₹25 lakh → ₹1,00,000

• ₹25 lakh to less than ₹50 lakh → ₹1,50,000

• ₹50 lakh and above → ₹2,00,000

  
  This deposit must be made when applying for or renewing a license, and it is required for each branch of business.
  

📌 2. Additional Security (Section 11A)

If at any time the Licensing Authority believes that a moneylender’s liabilities exceed assets (security already treated as asset), it may demand additional security equal to the excess.
